Urban Vegan, a new black-owned fast-casual vegan restaurant, has opened in Newark, New Jersey. Owned by Newark native Adenah Bayoh, the restaurant serves plant-based comfort food made with locally sourced ingredients. The menu includes dishes like pulled BBQ biscuits and California burgers, as well as sides like sweet potato fries and plantains. Bayoh's goal with Urban Vegan is not only to provide healthier dining options but also to create job opportunities for the local community.
