New Black-Owned Vegan Burger Joint Opens in Manhattan

Jerrell’s Betr Brgr is a new Black-owned vegan burger joint in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood, opened by Jerrell Obee, a native New Yorker and serial entrepreneur. The eatery offers a menu of plant-based burgers made with Impossible Meat patties, loaded fries, vegan chili, and shakes. The offerings include the LIL ‘BETR, the O.G. BETR, and the SUPR BETR, with accompaniments such as crispy waffle fries and vegan soft serve topped with various toppings.

The restaurant focuses on sustainability by using 100% recyclable bags, compostable cups, biodegradable containers, and wrappers made from recycled paper. Jerrell's Betr Brgr is open seven days a week, with hours ranging from 11am to 3am on weekends.
