New Punk-Themed Vegan Bar Opens in Silver Lake

Junkyard Dog, a new punk-themed vegan bar, has opened in Silver Lake, offering an all-day food menu and curated cocktail program. The restaurant has an upscale sports bar feel with a focus on punk music and pop art, featuring ample seating and three large TVs always tuned to sports channels. With a breakfast menu serving vegan omelets, burritos, and sandwiches until 3pm, and a dinner menu offering a variety of cuisines from 5-10pm, Junkyard Dog also has a bar menu with craft cocktails and happy hour specials from 4-7pm daily.

Located at 4330 W Sunset Blvd, Junkyard Dog is the project of Adaline Hobbs, owner of LA's oldest vegan restaurant, Real Food Daily. The Silver Lake area is becoming a hub for vegan restaurants, with other establishments like Hot Tongue Pizza and Seabirds Kitchen opening nearby. With longtime plant-based restaurants like Flore Vegan and Little Pine, Silver Lake is transforming into a vegan mecca, offering a variety of vegan options to those craving a plant-based dining experience.
