New York City Spearheads Veganuary 2024 in the US With Plant-Powered Menus

New York City is leading the Veganuary 2024 charge in the US, with restaurants offering plant-based specials throughout the month. The initiative, which started in the Boston subway in 2017, has gained popularity, with the US having the highest number of participants in 2022 among over 200 countries. A YouGov study commissioned by Veganuary revealed that 71% of US adults plan to incorporate more vegetables into their diets in 2024.

Restaurants in NYC are embracing Veganuary with creative and delicious offerings, such as vegan pizzas from &Pizza, a new vegan salad from Just Salad, and vegan cream cheese from Stockeld Dreamery. Other participating restaurants include Bareburger, Plantega, PLNT Burger, Neat Burger, and PLANTA. Culinary Director Joseph Fahey from &Pizza expressed pride in their commitment to fresh and top-quality ingredients, with a menu that caters to various dietary preferences, including great vegan options. The collaboration with Veganuary allows them to raise awareness about their exceptional plant-based toppings.
