Next Level Burger has become a major player in the vegan restaurant industry after acquiring Veggie Grill, a vegan fast food chain. The merger has resulted in the expansion of Next Level Burger's locations from ten to 27, with Veggie Grill being rebranded as Veggie Grill by Next Level. The goal of Next Level Burger is to open 1,000 plant-based restaurants across the US, aiming to attract non-vegan customers with their meat-free burgers.

A customer survey conducted in 2023 by Next Level Burger showed that a fifth of customers are choosing their plant-based options over meaty equivalents, with half of the respondents not identifying as vegan. This wide appeal to omnivores showcases the success of Next Level Burger's menu. The company claims to have made a positive impact on the environment by serving plant-based food, conserving nearly two billion gallons of fresh water and saving 60 million pounds of greenhouse gas emissions.
