Nike Debuts Sneakers Made From Pineapple Leather

Nike has introduced a new line of sneakers made from pineapple leather as part of their Move to Zero initiative. The "Happy Pineapple" pack includes sustainable versions of Nike's Air Max 95 NRG, Air Max 90 LX, Air Force 1, and Air Zoom-Type shoes, all featuring Piñatex, an eco-friendly leather alternative made from pineapple fiber. Each shoe in the collection is adorned with a cute pineapple logo on the tongue and an embroidered produce number referencing organic pineapples.

The Nike Free Run Trail was the first pair to be released, with the other styles following suit. The Air Max 95 NRG, Air Max 90 LX, Air Force 1, and Air Zoom-Type shoes incorporate cork outsoles for support and durability, with materials like pineapple fiber used in various parts of the design. This eco-friendly collection is a part of Nike's sustainability efforts to reduce carbon and waste, promoting a more environmentally-friendly future for sports fashion.
