NIZO Hands Property Ownership of Ede Food Innovation Park to Developer Schipper Bosch

Dutch real estate developer Schipper Bosch has acquired the real estate of the Food Innovation Park in Ede, the Netherlands from NIZO Food Research. NIZO will continue to operate as the park's lead research institute. The site already houses facilities such as the Biotechnology Fermentation Factory and a food-grade pilot plant, with plans for further development including a demonstration factory for fermentation-derived microbial oil.

Schipper Bosch plans to invest in sustainability upgrades and new shared facilities, aiming to create a collaborative ecosystem for companies and knowledge institutions at the park. The long-term vision is to support closer collaboration between researchers, companies, and entrepreneurs, building on the existing infrastructure and fostering innovation in the food industry. With NIZO as a key partner in driving innovation, the development of the Food Innovation Park as a research hub is expected to continue growing.
