Norwich Is The Latest UK City To Promote Plant-Based Eating

Norwich City has joined other UK councils in promoting plant-based eating by aligning with the Plant Based Treaty. Green Party councillors put forward the motion, emphasizing the need to address food emissions and make institutional changes to combat climate change. To facilitate adoption of plant-based eating, the original motion was amended to support residents during the cost-of-living crisis without judgment. Changes will include community garden initiatives and promoting plant-based options at events, with adjustments made to accommodate those who may not have easy access to vegan options. Norwich has shown openness to plant-based living with a growing number of vegan establishments and a vegan committee, reflecting a trend of increased vegan presence in the city.
