Australian FoodTech company Nourish Ingredients has collaborated with Cabio Biotech of China to successfully complete a commercial production run of its plant-based fat, Tastilux. This milestone represents a 1700% increase in production capacity for Nourish Ingredients, allowing them to meet the demand for 170,000 tons of the end product. The low inclusion rates required for Tastilux contribute to its cost-efficiency, making it a key player in the plant-based fat market.

Nourish Ingredients and Cabio Biotech's partnership aims to capitalize on the growing demand for plant-based alternatives in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in China. Cabio's expertise in microbial fermentation and synthetic biology, along with their advanced manufacturing facilities, will help streamline production and ensure efficient market entry in China and other Asian markets.
