New Wave Biotech has partnered with Nurasa in Singapore to integrate AI-driven bioprocess simulation software into Nurasa's food innovation infrastructure. Through this collaboration, companies within Nurasa's network will gain access to the Bioprocess Foresight platform, which allows for virtual modeling of downstream processing scenarios and assessment of the technical and economic feasibility of scaling precision fermentation and other biomanufacturing processes. This partnership aims to provide ingredient developers and food-tech startups with more reliable data for decision-making before committing to pilot or commercial-scale manufacturing, reducing the need for physical experiments by over 90% and lowering unit production costs by more than 50%.

Nurasa, owned by Temasek, operates a network of pilot-scale and food-grade production facilities across Asia, offering application development labs and regulatory support services for food and ingredient developers. The collaboration with New Wave Biotech is expected to support projects in sustainable food categories such as fermentation-derived proteins and biomanufactured ingredients by providing clearer, data-driven insights at every stage of development. By integrating bioprocess simulation and techno-economic assessments into their platform, Nurasa aims to guide both early-stage companies and established corporations towards commercially viable production in the sustainable nutrition and biomanufacturing sector.
