Oatly Tests Plant-Based Cream Cheese in Philadelphia

Oatly has collaborated with Philly-based food scientists to launch a new plant-based cream cheese in Philadelphia, available at select locations until March 31. The Sweden-based company, known for its oat-based products, is expanding its range to include creamy and spreadable cream cheese. Philly Bagels and Spread Bagelry are currently offering this new cream cheese, with Spread Bagelry’s version not being vegan due to boiling their bagels in honey water.

Oatly is testing the market for their cream cheese exclusively in Philadelphia before a wider US release later in the year. The brand is keeping the product close to its Philadelphia roots, showcasing a whimsical campaign with a humorous announcement video. With the cream cheese being available for a limited time, those in Philadelphia are encouraged to try it before it's gone.
