One Detroit Vegan Restaurant Is Becoming a Coffee Shop, Ice Cream Spot, and More

Street Beet, a popular Detroit vegan restaurant known for its plant-based twists on fast-food menus, is expanding with two new concepts under the same roof. Soft Spot will offer vegan soft serve treats at a walk-up window, including rotating seasonal flavors, slushies, sundaes, and floats. The goal is to create a nostalgic experience with a plant-based twist, providing a fun and approachable destination for all diners.

In addition to Soft Spot, Street Beet is also introducing Pour Decisions, a neighborhood coffee shop with free Wi-Fi, ample outlets, and oat milk as the default dairy-free option. The focus is on creating a welcoming space where people can enjoy coffee and pastries, whether they are vegan or not. The new concepts aim to provide diverse offerings while maintaining a sense of community and inclusivity in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood.
