UK plant-based pizza brand One Planet Pizza has exceeded £1m in annualised retail sales and secured a third product listing with Asda, expanding nationwide from 11 May at an RRP of £3. This milestone places the brand in the NielsenIQ Million Club and follows a successful launch into 255 Co-op stores with its Peppernomi Pizza, increasing its presence across major UK grocery chains.

Co-founder Joe Hill highlighted the growing demand from dairy-free consumers, as opposed to traditional vegans, with around 26% of UK households now avoiding dairy. This shift in consumer preferences towards more environmentally-friendly and health-conscious products is reflected in the UK frozen pizza category, valued at over £670m. With plant-based options gaining traction, One Planet Pizza has experienced sales growth of over 100% year on year, showcasing the broader appeal of their offerings beyond core plant-based buyers.
