One Planet Pizza’s “Category First” Plant-Based Tex Mex Launches at Asda

One Planet Pizza, a UK brand, has introduced a plant-based Tex Mex pizza that is claimed to be a frozen category first. The pizza features a wood-fired sourdough base with tomato sauce, plant-based cheese made from white beans, marinated vegetables, sweetcorn, and jalapeños. The launch at Asda stores follows the brand's success with a 41% year-on-year volume growth and the permanent availability of their Spicy Peppernomi pizza at Asda.

With hopes of becoming Asda's top vegan pizza brand, One Planet Pizza has also seen success at other retailers, including a recent launch at Morrisons stores UK-wide. The company's pizzas can also be found at Booths, The Vegan Kind, Mighty Plants, and Dutch retailer Jumbo. Co-founder Joe Hill expressed excitement about introducing their Tex Mex pizza to Asda's freezers, stating their mission of creating vegan pizzas that are so delicious even meat eaters enjoy them.
