Onego Bio has launched an expert series titled The Power of Trichoderma reesei: Building the Future with Fungi, showcasing the potential of its microbial platform behind Bioalbumen® egg protein. The series will explore the scientific strengths, industrial scale, and practical performance of Trichoderma reesei in food manufacturing. The first session, featuring Dr. Sharief Barends and Dr. Christopher Landowski, will delve into the research legacy and advantages of T. reesei in precision fermentation.

Following sessions will focus on the advantages of the T. reesei platform in manufacturing, market economics, and a live cooking demonstration showcasing Bioalbumen®'s functionality. Onego Bio recently received FDA approval for Bioalbumen®, and is planning to establish a manufacturing facility in Wisconsin. CEO Maija Itkonen believes that Trichoderma reesei is an efficient and underutilized tool in the fermentation toolbox, with immense potential in the food industry.
