Onego Bio has received a "No Questions" letter from the FDA for its egg protein produced through precision fermentation, Bioalbumen®. This confirms that the ingredient is Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) and can be used in various food and beverage applications. Bioalbumen is a highly functional ovalbumin protein with an amino acid sequence identical to that found in chicken eggs, produced using precision fermentation with Trichoderma reesei.
