Panda Express is testing Beyond Meat orange chicken at select locations in New York and Southern California. The dish, called "Beyond The Original Orange Chicken," features crispy breaded morsels of Beyond Chicken wok-tossed in Panda Express's signature vegan-friendly orange chicken sauce. The fast-food chain hopes to introduce plant-based proteins to their guests and attract a new audience with this innovative menu item.

In addition to the vegan orange chicken, Panda Express offers other vegan options such as white and brown rice, Chow Mein, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Eggplant Tofu, and Super Greens on their permanent menu. The Beyond Meat orange chicken will be available at select locations starting on July 26th, with hopes of making it a permanent menu item across all restaurants nationwide in the future.
