Papa John’s Brings Vegan Pizza To South Korea

Papa John’s has introduced two vegan pizza options in South Korea, responding to the increasing demand for meat-free choices. The Green Eat Vegetable Margarita and Green Eat Vegetable Garden Special pizzas feature dairy-free Sheese instead of mozzarella. The chain currently has 222 locations in South Korea, with plans to increase to 300 by 2025.

In addition to South Korea, Papa John’s already offers vegan pizzas in other countries such as the UK, Spain, and the Netherlands. The company first added vegan cheese in the UK in 2019 after a consumer petition garnered almost 30,000 signatures. Since then, Papa John’s has expanded its vegan menu to include options like jackfruit pepperoni pizza, stuffed crust base, cauliflower wings, potato tots, and vegan Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.
