Perdue Foods Seeks Court Order to Halt DxE Protests at Poultry Executive’s Home

Perdue Foods and director of operations Jason Arnold have filed for an injunction against the animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) to stop protests outside Arnold's home in California. Perdue alleges that DxE's actions have caused emotional distress to Arnold and his family. DxE has acknowledged and promoted the protests, stating that they are focused on exposing animal cruelty at Perdue's facilities. Perdue is seeking to prevent protests at Arnold's home but not at the Petaluma Poultry plant.

DxE maintains that their demonstrations are nonviolent and serve to hold Perdue accountable for animal cruelty. Perdue's legal complaint accuses DxE of doxxing Arnold and intimidating him ahead of a trial involving a DxE member. The company insists it is not trying to suppress free speech but rather protect Arnold and his family from ongoing protests.
