Photography Exhibition Exposing Trophy Hunting Came to London

Award-winning photojournalist Britta Jaschinski’s powerful exhibition “Still Life” was showcased in London from April 8th to 12th, 2025. Presented by Humane World for Animals UK, the exhibition aimed to expose the commodification of wildlife by the trophy hunting industry and promote a potential ban on importing hunting trophies into the UK. Jaschinski’s work documented crimes against wildlife and the environment, including the devastating consequences of trophy hunting and the wildlife trade on endangered species.

The exhibition featured over 30 large-format photos of confiscated hunting trophies and a documentary on the hunting of elephants, aiming to capture visitors’ expressions and feelings about trophy hunting to sway politicians to support a ban on imports. Jaschinski highlighted the inexcusable animal cruelty inherent in trophy hunting, emphasizing the need for positive change in how humans interact with nature to ensure the preservation of all species and maintain balance in the ecosystem.
