Pieminister Adds Award-Winning Low-Carbon Chana Rama Pie to Its Wholesale Range

UK-based pie brand Pieminister has added a new product, the Chana Rama pie, to its wholesale range. This pie has been named Best Vegan Pie at the British Pie Awards and is considered the company's lowest-carbon option, containing giant chickpeas, spinach, sweet potato, and cauliflower cooked in a spice blend and encased in pastry. The Chana Rama pie is aimed at food service outlets looking to expand their vegan offerings and is also available for purchase at Pieminister's restaurants and online store.

Pieminister has been working to make its range more sustainable by offering vegetarian and plant-based products. The brand's vegan options include the Mooless Moo and Banger & Bean Handy Pie, with the recent addition of vegan and gluten-free gravy. Co-founder Jon Simon highlights the importance of expanding their vegan range in order to become more sustainable and ethical by conducting rigorous supply chain audits to ensure low environmental impact.
