Plant-Based for Everyone: Burger King Germany Makes All Vegan Products Cheaper than Meat

Burger King Germany has taken a groundbreaking step by making all plant-based products cheaper than their meat counterparts to promote vegan consumption. With a new motto, 'Plant-Based for Everyone,' the fast-food chain has reduced the prices of vegan items like the Whopper, chicken nuggets, and Long Chicken sandwich by 10 cents. This decision aligns with consumer trends in Germany, where 39% of people find plant-based alternatives too expensive.

In addition to the price cuts, Burger King is collaborating with The Vegetarian Butcher to develop a new flower-shaped patty for its vegan beef burgers. This move aims to differentiate between conventional beef and plant-based options. The company's focus on expanding its plant-based menu and making vegan options more accessible reflects the growing demand for alternative protein sources and a shift towards sustainable food systems in Germany.
