Plant-Based Just Egg Lands in the UK via Vegan Food Group

Just Egg, a mung-bean-based vegan liquid egg from US company Eat Just, has made its debut in the UK market, priced at £3.99 for a 340ml carton. Vegan Food Group (VFG), the parent company of brands like VFC and Meatless Farm, is handling the distribution as part of an exclusive deal. The product, which is also suitable for those allergic to eggs, has lower saturated fat and zero cholesterol compared to conventional eggs.

The European launch of Just Egg follows partnerships and regulatory approvals, culminating in a deal with VFG to produce the product in its facility in Germany. The move comes amid an egg crisis, with soaring prices and supply shortages, offering consumers a plant-based alternative to traditional eggs. VFG sees this launch as part of a broader effort to promote sustainable, animal-friendly food options in the market.
