Portland Vegan Pop-Up Mis Tacones to Open Brick-and-Mortar Next Month

Portland’s iconic vegan taqueria pop-up, Mis Tacones, is expanding into its first brick-and-mortar location next month on Killingsworth in Vernon. Since 2016, the queer and Chicanx-owned business has been serving up popular dishes like tacos, burritos, and nachos made with their signature house-made seitan. The owners, Polo Banuelos and Carlos Reynoso, aim to provide authentic Mexican street food in a safe and queer-oriented space, with a commitment to supporting the local queer community.

The new location of Mis Tacones will feature a menu filled with classic favorites, including taco trios, burritos, chimichangas, and traditional Mexican desserts. In addition to food, the venue will have a full bar offering tequila-based cocktails, wine, and beer from local and Oregonian companies. With a focus on inclusivity and community building, Mis Tacones plans to open its doors to other queer- and BIPOC-owned businesses, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
