Potato Milk Brand DUG Gains Listing at 150 Carrefour Stores in Spain

Swedish potato milk producer DUG Foodtech has secured a listing at 150 Carrefour hypermarkets in Spain, marking its entry into the Spanish market. The initial order amounted to 400,000 SEK and reflects the growing demand for plant-based milk in the country, with sales increasing by 12% between 2021 and 2023.

With Spain being the second-largest non-dairy market in Europe, DUG sees this collaboration as an exciting opportunity for expansion. The brand's versatile and sustainable milk alternative, available in three varieties, has gained popularity not only in retail but also in the coffee channel. DUG's success in Germany, where it is sold at REWE stores, demonstrates its potential for growth and innovation in the plant-based milk industry.
