Premier Foods Launches McDougalls No Added Sugar Vegan Jelly Amid Growing Demand for Low Sugar School Desserts

Premier Foods has launched a new range of vegan jelly with no added sugar under its McDougalls brand in response to the increasing demand for low-sugar school desserts. The jelly, available in four flavours, is free of gluten and major allergens, and complies with the UK's HFSS regulations. Sold in 1.4kg packs that produce 17 litres of jelly, it is easy to prepare and sets in just an hour.

A recent survey by Premier Foods found that four in five children enjoy jelly, with 24% ranking it among their top five school desserts. Additionally, 54% believe jelly is more exciting when paired with fresh fruit. The new sugar-free jelly, made without gelatin, aims to provide a healthier and more inclusive option for school caterers to offer students a fun and flavorful dessert option without compromising nutrition.
