ProVeg Incubator Welcomes Ten Startups in 13th Cohort

ProVeg International has welcomed ten startups to its 13th cohort of the ProVeg Incubator programme, which aims to support the development of plant-based and alternative protein products. The startups chosen come from various regions and offer diverse innovations in the plant-based and alternative protein sectors. They will receive funding, mentorship, and resources to accelerate their products towards market readiness in an effort to reduce reliance on animal agriculture and create more sustainable food systems.

Among the selected startups is Updairy, which produces animal-free whey protein using precision fermentation, and Profillet, which is developing plant-based white fish using marine-derived ingredients and fermentation technology. Other startups are focused on creating plant-based honey alternatives, sustainable cheese alternatives, plant-based meat inspired by local cuisine, and innovative plant-based fat ingredients. By supporting these startups, ProVeg aims to promote a shift towards a more climate-friendly, sustainable, and healthier food system that benefits both people and the planet.
