Pulmuone Announces New Collab to Streamline Cultivated Seafood Using AI Robotics

Pulmuone, a South Korean plant-based foods producer, has partnered with ABB Korea Robotics to develop cultivated seafood using AI robotics. The collaboration aims to automate the cultivation process for seafood, with a goal of mass-producing cultivated seafood products by 2026. This partnership is expected to lead research and development in AI robotics for cellular agriculture, being the world's first to apply AI robotic automation to cultivated meat production.

Pulmuone has been expanding into the alternative protein industry through investments and partnerships with cultivated meat and mycoprotein companies. The company has also signed agreements with companies like BlueNalu to commercialize cultivated tuna in South Korea and with Simple Planet to co-develop hybrid cultivated meat products. With this new collaboration, Pulmuone aims to strengthen technological competitiveness and create synergy in the research and development of advanced fishery food technology.
