Pure Mylk Opens Southeast Asia’s First Facility for Plant-Based Beverage Innovation

Pure Mylk has inaugurated The Mylky Way, an innovative hub in Kuala Lumpur dedicated to plant-based beverages, making it the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. The facility aims to support sustainable food technology development in the region by providing services like beverage formulation, testing, and scalable production all under one roof. This collaborative environment is designed to assist brands at various stages of product development, from prototyping to market launch, fostering the creation of clean-label, functional, and climate-conscious products to meet the increasing demand for plant-based beverages in Southeast Asia.

The Mylky Way incorporates advanced technologies such as enzymatic processing and VTIS to produce shelf-stable plant-based drinks without refrigeration, meeting the needs of both consumers and manufacturers. Through partnerships with industry leaders like Tetra Pak and Novonesis, Pure Mylk is expanding its capabilities in processing, packaging, and sourcing bio-based ingredients to support local brands and improve supply chain efficiency. The facility also prioritizes sustainability by promoting ambient-stable production, responsible sourcing of ingredients, and aligning with national goals for food security, climate resilience, and public health.
