Raisio Completes €19M Nokia Mill Investment Programme as Gluten-Free Oat Exports Accelerate

Finnish food company Raisio has completed a €19 million investment programme at its Nokia Mill in Finland with the addition of a new laboratory building. The facility, which cost around €1.5 million, will support quality management and production development at the mill, which produces Raisio's flake products, rye and oat flours, and gluten-free oat ingredients. The site, which employs around 60 people, also supplies consumer products and ingredients to international markets through Raisio Food Solutions.

The investments made since 2018 have increased the mill's capacity and capabilities, enabling the manufacturing of gluten-free oat products and oat fibre concentrates. The strategic importance of Nokia Mill has grown significantly due to rising demand for Finnish oat expertise and healthy snack products in the European market. With recent expansions into new European markets and a focus on future innovations, Raisio aims to continue its growth in the oat category and strengthen its position in the food industry.
