Rendang, Tom Yum and Legume Sticks Among Plant-Based Meat Products at SIAL Paris
Vegconomist • Oct 06, 2026
Plant-based meat products from France, Spain, Indonesia, and Thailand are being showcased at SIAL Paris, with innovative offerings such as Veg Beany legume sticks from French producer Kokiriki. These sticks, made from lentils, peas, flaxseed flour, and spices, are high in protein and fiber, low in fat, and are easy to chew, making them suitable for children, seniors, and families. Kokiriki is also launching ready-to-eat products and seafood alternatives at the event.
Barcelona-based Novameat will be presenting its Pulled Lamb Style, Pulled Chicken Style, and Pulled Pork Style products at the exhibition. Using micro-extrusion technology, the company produces fibrous cuts that are sold to foodservice operators, distributors, and food manufacturers. Indonesian brand Green Rebel will showcase ambient ready meals made from mushrooms and non-GMO soy, including flavors like Indonesian Rendang, Thai Green Curry, and Korean BBQ, which require no refrigeration before opening. PlantEra, from Bangkok-based brand incubator Ascentra Exports, will feature vegan products inspired by Thai dishes, including Tom Yum and Green Curry meatballs and a Green Curry burger patty, all high in protein.
