Richmond Launches Meat-Free Sausages Containing 42% Vegetables

Richmond, a UK producer of meat and plant-based products, has expanded its meat-free portfolio with a new range called Veggie Tasty. The first product in this range is an eight-pack of chilled sausages made from 42% vegetables, including broccoli, carrot, sweetcorn, and peas. These sausages are high in protein and fibre, seasoned with herbs and spices, and are targeted towards health-conscious consumers looking for natural meat alternatives.

Richmond's launch of the Veggie Tasty range aligns with changing consumer demands for more plant-based options. Previously known for their meat-based sausages, Richmond ventured into plant-based alternatives in 2020. Their meat-free products were well-received and have since expanded to include burgers, bacon, and chicken-style pieces. The new Veggie Tasty sausages will be available at major retailers this month, and a frozen option will be introduced in March, supported by an OOH campaign and social media advertising.
