Gervais revealed that he donated £2.5 million to various animal charities from the proceeds of his 'Mortality' tour, continuing his tradition of donating money from his tours to causes he believes in.

He highlighted the importance of being kind to animals and giving back, emphasizing that as one's financial means grow, so should their charitable contributions. The donation he made went to 22 different organizations, including a rescue center for paralysed dogs.
