Gervais revealed that he donated £2.5 million to various animal charities from the proceeds of his 'Mortality' tour, continuing his tradition of donating money from his tours to causes he believes in.

Gervais, who has been vegan since 2020, finds the vegan lifestyle to be quite easy to maintain with proper planning. He highlighted the importance of being kind to animals and giving back, emphasizing that as one's financial means grow, so should their charitable contributions. The donation he made went to 22 different organizations, including a rescue center for paralysed dogs. Despite some fans suggesting he should receive a knighthood for his efforts, Gervais remains humble, focusing on continuing to support causes he is passionate about.
