San and Wolves Bakeshop to Open Brick-and-Mortar Early 2024

San & Wolves Bakeshop, the only business in Los Angeles offering 100% vegan Filipino cuisine, will open its first brick-and-mortar location in early 2024. Owner Kym Estrada started the bakery in New York in 2017, using it to share her veganized Filipino recipes and advocate for animals. After moving to Los Angeles, the bakery gained a strong following for its scratch-made vegan Filipino baked goods, such as Pandan Buko Pop-Tarts and Ube Buns.

The forthcoming Long Beach storefront will feature customer favorites as well as new offerings like savory breakfast pastries and weekly specials. San & Wolves Bakeshop aims to not only provide delicious vegan treats but also to highlight Filipino culture and honor Estrada's heritage. The bakery, which has garnered support from the Filipino community, serves as a symbol of her parents' sacrifices as immigrants and a way to connect with her culture in a new country.
