Seasoned Vegan’s New Takeout Concept Opens Today in NYC’s East Village

Seasoned Vegan Real Quick, a new takeout concept by the mother-son vegan team Brenda and Aaron Beener, opened its doors in NYC's East Village on August 23. Following the closure of their beloved Harlem restaurant, Seasoned Vegan, earlier this year, Seasoned Vegan Real Quick offers a fresh twist on their culinary legacy with a focus on quick-service takeout and delivery. The new restaurant, located at 128 Second Ave, features a variety of dishes inspired by the family's New Orleans heritage, showcasing flavors like their signature grilled burdock root "crawfish" in sandwiches like the Craw Pretzel Boy and BBQ Craw Sandwich.

In addition to sandwiches, Seasoned Vegan Real Quick also offers other enticing options like the SV Nugget Sandwich, Lemon Crusted Nuggets, Cajun-seasoned fries, housemade organic desserts, and more. Brenda Beener, a pioneer in the vegan food movement, teamed up with her son Aaron to open Seasoned Vegan in 2014, earning a reputation for delicious vegan cuisine. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the pair pivoted to focus on takeout and delivery, leading to the launch of Seasoned Vegan Real Quick. The new restaurant will operate daily from 11am to 12am, offering takeout and delivery services only.
