Several Hotels and Resorts in the Philippines Commit to Making Their Menus 30% Plant-Based

Several hotels and resorts in the Philippines have committed to making 30% of their menu offerings plant-based by various deadlines. Winford Resort & Casino Manila and Okada Manila are among the establishments leading this movement, with Okada becoming the first integrated resort in the country to make such a commitment. Lever Foundation is supporting these initiatives, which also include sustainability efforts like eliminating single-use plastics and sourcing ingredients locally.

The shift towards plant-based options comes in response to growing consumer demand for healthier and more sustainable food choices in the Philippines. Ascott Limited Philippines, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Eco Hotels Philippines have also pledged to increase plant-based menu offerings in their establishments. These commitments aim to not only meet guest preferences but also contribute to responsible tourism and environmental preservation in the hospitality industry.
