Silk Adds Protein Yogurt and Ready-to-Drink Shakes to Plant-Based Range

Silk, owned by Danone, has expanded its Silk Protein line in the United States with the introduction of a plant-based yogurt and a shelf-stable protein shake. The Silk Protein Yogurt contains at least 12g of protein per serving, along with 4g of fiber and five added nutrients. Available in Vanilla, Strawberry, Peach, and Mixed Berry flavors, the yogurt is priced at $1.99 for a 5.3oz cup and $6.79 for a 24oz tub. The Silk Protein Shakes, the brand's first ready-to-drink beverage, contain 30g of protein per serving, as well as 5g of fiber and 2g of total sugar.

The new products are part of Silk's efforts to build out its protein platform, following the success of its Silk Protein milk launched in January 2026. Kallie Goodwin, the Plant-Based Food & Beverage Lead at Danone USA, emphasized the importance of providing options that taste great, keep consumers satisfied, and support their wellness goals. The Silk Protein range aims to offer quality nutrition and great taste in products that make it easy to incorporate key nutrients like protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals into busy, everyday routines.
