Danish producer Tempty Foods has expanded its Spicy Korean Stick, a mycelium-based meat alternative, into more 7-Eleven stores across Denmark. Originally developed through an Innovation Corner competition, the product features plant-based ingredients like mycelium, quinoa, carrots, and lentils, all coated in cornflakes and topped with a spicy gochujang sauce. Tempty Foods will celebrate the expansion with samplings at various 7-Eleven locations.

Founded by three individuals at the Technical University of Denmark in 2021, Tempty Foods has also introduced a mycelium-based patty and burger patty to its product line. In 2023, the company became the first to utilize mycoprotein from Marlow Foods, parent company of Quorn. Expressing gratitude to 7-Eleven Denmark and supporters, Tempty Foods looks forward to continued growth and success in offering innovative meat alternatives to consumers.
