Spork Foods Vegan Sister Duo Opens Vegan Restaurant in Culver City

Heather Bell and Jenny Engel, the vegan sister duo behind Spork Foods, are opening a vegan restaurant in Culver City called Hey Sunshine Kitchen. With 23 years of experience in the vegan industry, the sisters have been teaching cooking classes, hosting demonstrations, and publishing cookbooks. The restaurant will offer a menu of colorful salads, sandwiches, warm bowls, tacos, and desserts, all 100% vegan and made with non-GMO ingredients.

Hey Sunshine Kitchen is set to open in July and will also feature a pollinator initiative in partnership with Friends of Ballona Wetlands. The restaurant will showcase pollinator-friendly plants on their patio and give a complimentary plant with the purchase of any entrée. Located at 3863 Overland Ave., Culver City, CA 90232, Hey Sunshine Kitchen aims to serve delicious plant-based fare while also promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness in the community.
