British plant-based brand Squeaky Bean has launched a new product, Salmon Style Flakes in a Sweet Chilli Marinade. Described as a market-first product that mimics the appearance, taste, and texture of traditional salmon, the flakes are high in protein and omega-3 and ready to eat. They are suitable for use in various dishes such as salads, wraps, and grain bowls, with sweet chilli being one of the most popular flavours in the category.

The launch follows the success of Squeaky Bean’s Tuna Style Flakes, which have been highly rated by consumers and have seen significant sales. The company also offers Beechwood Smoked Salmon Style Slices and claims to be the UK’s number one brand in plant-based fish alternatives. Chief Marketing Officer Yvonne Adam highlighted the brand's commitment to innovation and great taste, emphasizing their goal of meeting consumer demand for tasty, sustainable options at a lower cost than traditional salmon. The new Salmon Style Flakes will be exclusively available at Sainsbury’s starting this month.
