Startups Invited to Compete for Paid Pilots and Grants in Foodtech Frontier Challenge

The Foodtech Frontier Challenge, organized by Enterprise Singapore and Padang & Co, is seeking innovative solutions from startups, researchers, and solution providers to address challenges in the food industry. Major food companies such as Barry Callebaut, CJ CheilJedang, and Mondelēz International are collaborating in this initiative, offering up to S$450,000 in paid pilot opportunities and a S$20,000 Proof of Concept grant to successful participants. The focus areas of the competition include ingredients, processing, and sustainability, with a specific emphasis on developing healthier and more sustainable food products without compromising taste or sensory experience.

Participants are encouraged to propose solutions such as affordable cocoa alternatives, innovative fats for chocolate products, and sustainable packaging for frozen foods. Evaluation criteria will consider technical feasibility, scalability of the business model, and team capacity. Interested parties have until June 30, 2025, to apply through the challenge portal, presenting detailed plans for implementation, expected outcomes, and team expertise committed to the project.
