Steakholder Foods Receives Positive Written Opinion Regarding Patent for Plant-Based Fish Printing System

Steakholder Foods has received a positive Written Opinion from the International Searching Authority (ISA) regarding their international patent application for a 3D-printing system for plant-based fish. The system, known as the HD144 printer, utilizes their proprietary DLS® drop-on-demand printing technology to create structured plant-based fish products that mimic the texture and appearance of real fish. The ISA has determined that all 21 claims in Steakholder's application meet the requirements of novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability, demonstrating the uniqueness of the technology.

In addition to the positive opinion from the ISA, Steakholder Foods has recently launched plant-based whitefish kebabs and salmon patties in Israel under the brand Green Future. The company has also received funding from the Singapore-Israel Industrial R&D Foundation to accelerate the development of their 3D-printed fish alternatives. With plans to pursue national phase filings in key global markets, Steakholder aims to strengthen its position in the 3D-printed alternative protein sector and further commercialize its innovative technology.
