Steakholder Foods to Launch Whole-Cut Plant-Based Meat Brand in the US

Steakholder Foods, an Israeli food tech startup, is launching its new plant-based brand, Perfecta, in the US in the second half of 2026. After years of developing 3D-printed meat manufacturing tech for B2B clients, the company is now expanding into the consumer market with a range of whole-cut meat alternatives, including steaks and seafood patties, designed to address taste and texture barriers that have limited the wider adoption of plant-based meat.

Steakholder Foods' 3D-printing expertise allows them to create meat analogues with a fibrous structure and mouthfeel, aimed at replicating conventional meat. The company's entry into the US market comes at a time when plant-based meat and seafood sales are still relatively low, but the brand is targeting flexitarians as a key market opportunity. With a phased rollout planned for the Northeast and marketing campaigns to drive awareness, Steakholder Foods hopes to use its technological advantage to overcome the hurdles that have hindered the plant-based protein industry.
