Swedish plant-based cheese producer Stockeld Dreamery has announced its closure after facing a decline in the plant-based category. CEO Sorosh Tavakoli cited the challenging market conditions as the reason for the company's inability to grow, leading to the decision to shut down in a responsible manner. The team is currently working on winding down operations, including selling equipment, closing offices, and removing products from shelves and menus.

Despite achieving success with its plant-based cheeses sold internationally at various locations, Stockeld Dreamery was unable to sustain its momentum in the changing market. Tavakoli expressed pride in the company's culture and the authenticity it fostered among the team, as well as the impact they had in the industry. Stockeld Dreamery is now looking for a new home for its intellectual property and invites interested parties to reach out for potential opportunities.
