SUSMATA is showcasing its plant-based leather alternative, WASTEA, at the LINEAPELLE trade fair in Milan. This vegan leather is made from industrial byproducts such as tea waste and offers a bio-based content of 40 to 95 percent. It meets the strict requirements of various industries, including automotive and premium goods, while also reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 80 percent compared to traditional leather.

In addition to WASTEA, SUSMATA is introducing other plant-based materials at the fair, such as vegan leather made from rose, coffee, and lavender waste.
