Sweetgreen Debuts New Plant-Based Protein Option

Sweetgreen has introduced a new plant-based protein option in partnership with vegan meat company Meati. The vegan protein, made from mushrooms, is featured in the new Miso Meati Bowl available at the Culver City location for a limited time. This marks the first time that Sweetgreen has offered a vegan meat option on its menu in response to customer demand for a high-protein vegan option.

Meati, known for its mushroom-based vegan meats, offers products with a meaty texture that closely resembles animal-derived meat. The brand has quickly gained popularity, being named one of TIME magazine's Best Inventions of 2022. Currently, Meati products can be found at select locations in Colorado and Arizona, including Sprouts and Birdcall stores.
