Taco Bell To Launch Vegan Nacho Fries With Dairy-Free Cheese Sauce

Taco Bell is set to launch Vegan Nacho Fries with Dairy-Free Cheese Sauce at all US stores from October 12, marking the first time a vegan menu item will be available nationwide. The popular seasoned Nacho Fries have been around since 2018, but the new vegan version will come with a chickpea and soy-based cheese sauce, catering to a wider range of dietary preferences. The Vegan Nacho Fries will be available in regular and large sizes for a limited time and have been certified as vegan by the American Vegetarian Association.

This move by Taco Bell follows the success of the Vegan Crunchwrap offered at select locations in June, which included plant-based beef and sour cream, along with a vegan “blanco sauce.” The fast food chain's commitment to innovation and catering to diverse dietary needs reflects a broader trend in the fast food industry towards offering more vegan options on their menus. Other chains such as Burger King, Del Taco, and Greggs have also introduced permanent vegan options to meet the increasing demand for plant-based choices.
