Te Protejo, an organization dedicated to ending animal testing in the Latin American cosmetics industry, has launched its first Cruelty Free Awards in Chile. The awards aim to recognize ethical cosmetics in the country and will feature categories such as Sustainability, Innovation, Plant-Based, and The People's Favorite. Nominated products will be evaluated by a panel of industry specialists and winners will receive awards, digital diplomas, and a communication kit.

Entries for the awards are open until November 12, with the winners set to be announced on November 28. Successful companies will have the opportunity to connect with leading Chilean retailers and potentially join their portfolio. The awards, sponsored by prominent retailers in Chile, come after Te Protejo's certification contest for cruelty-free cosmetics in Latin America earlier this year. The initiative is seen as a unique opportunity to highlight brands and products committed to ethical and cruelty-free practices in the cosmetics industry.
