Te Protejo Marks 14 Years by Reopening Consumer Habit-Change Program in Chile and Mexico

Te Protejo, a Chilean non-profit organization, is celebrating its 14th anniversary by launching the second edition of its consumer education program, Tu Compromiso Cruelty Free. This program aims to educate participants in Chile and Mexico on cruelty-free skincare, makeup, plant-based eating, and conscious fashion. The first edition of the program saw positive outcomes, with a significant number of participants adopting plant-based diets and using cosmetics not tested on animals, ultimately saving the lives of many animals.

Despite the ban on animal testing in cosmetics in Chile, enforcement regulations have not been published, leaving a gap in implementation. Te Protejo, which runs the only certification program for cruelty-free brands in Latin America, continues to advocate for animal rights and environmentally-conscious consumer choices. The organization's efforts have been recognized by consumers and it remains committed to empowering individuals to make informed and ethical consumption decisions for the benefit of animals and the environment.
