The Evolution of a Meat Industry Trade Fair: “Rethinking Meat and Proteins” is Theme for IFFA 2025

IFFA 2025, with the theme “Rethinking Meat and Proteins”, will focus on alternative proteins, reflecting the industry and consumer shift towards sustainable and ethical food choices. The trade fair will feature a dedicated “New Proteins” product area, showcasing innovations in plant-based meats, cultured meats, and other meat substitutes. This trend aligns with the growing interest among IFFA visitors and exhibitors to diversify their offerings and explore new business opportunities in the alternative protein space.

The event organizers aim to make food production smarter and more sustainable, emphasizing the importance of innovation in meeting changing consumer preferences and the need for more sustainable food production methods. The New Proteins area, located in Hall 11.0, will feature suppliers of ingredients, machines, and systems for protein extraction and production of cultured meat, as well as research institutions, start-ups, associations, and experts providing insights into new proteins. Exhibitors can now register for the event, with early bird prices available until April 17, 2024.
